leading the teams

Darlene Agag

is a 20-year veteran of corporate America who understands the challenges of balancing meaningful work and a busy home life. A former Senior Vice President with Fox Networks, she earned a reputation for creating innovative strategic partnerships, cultivating collaborative client and cross-company relationships, and consistently generating millions of dollars in revenue.

As both an employee and a senior-level manager, Darlene witnessed the disruption and stress caused by changes in job responsibilities and office locations. However it wasn’t until her family relocated to northern New Jersey from Manhattan that Darlene personally experienced how overwhelming it can be to move and adjust to new surroundings while remaining productive at work.

That’s when the idea for Suburban Settlers was born. Today, Darlene combines her entrepreneurial spirit, extensive network, and affinity for delivering highly customized services and solutions to help her clients manage their transition seamlessly.

Darlene is an active member of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Worldwide ERC and North Jersey-Rockland SHRM.

Karen Cardamone

Karen's background as a business owner, special needs educator, and busy mom of four make her uniquely qualified to understand and troubleshoot the challenges families and individuals face when relocating. After meeting Darlene Agag through the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, she felt an instant connection with the mission and vision of Suburban Settlers and was eager to join the team.

Karen is no stranger to the stresses of moving: she has relocated to various U.S. cities no less than 14 times with her family and dogs in tow. Her personal experience has shaped her ability to handle all the complexities involved with moving and knowledgeably troubleshoot issues that crop up in the process.

Susan Wachter

As a former Executive Vice President of strategic sales planning and analysis at the FOX Networks Group in NYC, Susan brings her 30 years of managerial experience in the media industry along with a tactical and analytical approach to problem solving.

Susan is an active volunteer in her community. She’s a member of Impact100 Westchester, which provides grant money to local deserving nonprofit organizations, she mentors high school students with the Let’s Get Ready (for college) program and volunteers as a “baby cuddler” in the NICU of Westchester Medical Center.

Susan is an avid tennis player, golfer, knitter, and practices yoga. Having recently purchased a beach house on the North Fork of eastern Long Island, Susan and her family spend weekends enjoying and exploring a new community.

Rose Lang-Maso

As a lifelong resident of the New York Metro area, Rose contributes her knowledge of the Hudson Valley region, Westchester County, as well as much of New Jersey.

She is responsible for creating custom relocation packages that help our clients easily transition to their new communities. Rose also manages and creates content for all of Suburban Settlers' social media accounts.

Kimberly Kafafian

Kimberly founded, oversees, manages, and directs the HR practices for MHRO. Prior to founding Monarch, Kimberly held numerous HR positions in large, multinational and Fortune 500 companies including Footaction, WebMD, AOL and USA Today. Kimberly has redesigned core business operations, driven change management initiatives, coached and developed senior executives, and handled HR due diligence and integration activities for company acquisitions.

Kimberly is avid hockey mom that lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband, two sons and their yellow Lab, Magnolia. She believes in volunteerism and actively gives back to her community; she is an Executive Board member of the Glen Rock Guild, a CCD teacher, and a Board member for her local Society For Human Resources (SHRM) Chapter, as well as a volunteer for the Garden State Council SHRM.
